Our client had previously tried and failed to obtain planning consent to extend and convert his large detached house to flats. The house faces a major road in South London. We designed a scheme which involved the conversion of the front part of the house and reconstruction of the rear to create 5 new dwellings; a 3 bedroom flat with a private rear garden, two 2-bed flats and two studio flats, which all shared another garden at the rear of the site. The scheme was granted planning consent in 2021.
